Elation captures the joy and freedom of Colorado’s winter landscapes, blending the energy of skiing with the iconic shapes of our state flag.

This piece is especially meaningful as it was titled by my late gallery owner, Abbas, whose choice seemed to intuitively capture the spirit I felt on those runs. Whether by intent or coincidence (I had called it Elevation before Abbas fixed it), Elation conveys both the elevation of Copper Mountain and the uplifting thrill that skiing brings, creating a visual tribute to Colorado’s mountains and its vibrant spirit.
