This piece was inspired by my 2014 trip to Moab, despite having grown up in Utah, I didn't visit it until I had moved away to Colorado. I love the shape of Delicate Arch and to see it in person was beautiful- I hope this painting may evoke some nostalgia for people who have gone, and wanted viewers to think about what wildlife once occupied the area and is a tribute both to memory of bison, and of childhood.
