This original acrylic painting depicts a flock (murder) of crows in flight across a fluorescent red desert. Departing from my usual earth-toned southwest works, Murder experiments with fluorescent underpainting to create a landscape that is both loud and luminous, but still brooding and dark. The piece balances playfulness with foreboding, pushing the boundaries of my western themes into new fun experimental territory.
