This work explores how reverence and nature entwine—Ascensionism was inspired by my travels in Italy, where cathedral walls and Renaissance frescoes left a lasting impression. I figured I'd never be allowed to paint walls in Cathedrals like the masters, so I used ChatGPT prompt engineering to make my own cathedral and paint it myself.
The title also comes from themes of ascension and transcendence, and a song I listened to on repeat while making this piece.
