This painting reimagines the ancient pueblos of Taos with vivid, rainbow hues, contrasting against a surreal, plain desert foreground. The darkened doors and windows hint at unseen histories and the lives of each person who lived within each structure, now preserved as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This piece continues my exploration of the Southwest, bringing a vibrant, contemporary twist to its landscapes while honoring its enduring, enigmatic spirit of Puebloan people.
