Victory brings the Louvre's Nike of Samothrace, an enduring symbol of triumph, to the vast, arid landscapes of the American Southwest.
The interposed geometric forms—cubes and shapes that defy immediate comprehension—hint at technology and the unknown. These shapes, alongside the moon, introduce an element of abstraction, where the monumentality of human achievement meets ambiguous forces of a new frontier.
Ultimately, I wanted to celebrate Victory by painting history merged with future... by blending icons of an ancient world with America's expansive desert landscape.
