For this mini painting, I wanted to highlight the strength and majesty of the American bison, an icon of resilience on the prairie. Our neighbor in Utah took care of one on her acreage (Ms. Billie) who drew lots of viewers from the side of the highway. This piece pays tribute to her and the country’s enduring symbols of the wild.
