Suspension shows a deer antler floating above a bristlecone pine in the desert, set against sweeping surreal clouds. I’ve always liked the shapes of antlers from shed hunting in the backyard of my rural home, and here I wanted to contrast the stark, bone-like form with the bristlecone’s sense of age and resilience (hence the growing pine needles). The black-and-white theme makes it feel a little mysterious and surreal—an image that’s open ended and more about atmosphere than answers :)
